Description
Alps are the highest and most extensive mountain range system that lies entirely in Europe and stretching approximately 1 200 kilometres across eight Alpine countries: France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, and Slovenia.
The Alpine region area contains about a hundred peaks higher than 4,000 metres.
This is a photo of Julian Alps - a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps that stretch from northeastern Italy to Slovenia, where they rise to 2,864 m at Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia and of the former Yugoslavia.
